The creator says the Talkie Android app was pulled from Google Play in 2026 and suggests other character apps, spending most of the video on content-rating levels (PG, PG-13 and a looser option on the website). We have not verified the Google Play status; on October 8, 2026, Talkie was listed on the US App Store as “Talkie Lab”.
Talkie users split into two groups. Some want the same light experience with more depth: Character.AI and Replika fit, both filtered. Others want adult conversations, and should look at apps that require users to be 18+ and allow explicit content, such as Nomi, SpicyChat or Candy AI.
